A forced week off

An entire week off from running sucks for building up endurance. I had to take a week off after somehow managing to really screw up my back. I found a chiropractor who is amazing and she had me back to almost normal after 3 sessions, or at least back to running. I'm feeling a lot better and have already picked back up. I learned that running isn't easy cause apparently I get unbelievably stressed whe I run and hold a ton of tension in my neck. I didn't even know I did that. One more thing to focus on while running... But after running today I felt pretty good, and made sure I wasn't too tense. Guess i need to work on my relaxation skills.

My first 5K is in 22 days and I'm only up to 1.5 miles. I have 22 days to add 2 miles to that, and I'm bound and determined to do it. My original plan was to start at .5 miles and bump it up by a .5 a week. But at this point I have to change the plan. The new plan is to run 1.5 miles for 3 days in a row, then take a day off, then increase by .5 miles every three days and repeat... If everything goes to plan I will be good to run 3.5 miles on March 9th. Which allows 5 days to get comfortable running that distance... Hard plan, can I do it?
